T & E Smith trading as Beau Ties has been a driving force in the formal wear industry since 1982. The business was the dream of the founders Terry and Elizabeth Smith who realized that there was a growing need for men's formal fashion accessories. Terry had previously held senior positions within the men's wear industry and was renowned as a progressive thinker able to predict the next wave of trends that would impact the men's wear scene. He was well traveled and knew that Australian manufactures were capable of competing with the then imported rivals.

Business growth - An Australian Success Story

T & E Smith knew that they had products that met demands but they never anticipated how well they had predicted this need. Over the last 23 years they have moved premises 4 times to accommodate the growth of the business, and provided the opportunity for their family to join them in the business. Peter Smith as a fellow Director ensures that the next generation of men's wear accessories buyers needs are met.

Many of our machinists have been on staff since the early days of the business and we are dedicated to ensuring we remain an Australian manufacturer.
